The basic research activities of the division are closely linked to the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute. Located on the 12th floor of the Tarry Research and Education Building, this institute focuses on state-of-the-art cardiovascular research using interdepartmental and interdisciplinary approaches. As part of its mission, it provides leadership, services, and core physical facilities for investigators at the Feinberg School of Medicine and affiliated McGaw Medical Center hospitals. Financial support also is provided for research training, developing faculty investigators, initiating research projects, and sponsoring special programs and visiting scholars.
