Conferences and Lectures

Regular weekly educational activities bring together members of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and clinicians and basic scientists at all McGaw Medical Center institutions and hospital affiliates. Fellows are expected to participate in the following conferences:

  • Bone Marrow Transplantation Management Conference (weekly)
  • New Patient Conference (weekly)
  • Multidisciplinary Breast Conference (weekly)

In addition, the Division of Hematology/Oncology and the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer sponsor lectures and symposia open to the professional community featuring speakers from leading cancer centers in the United States and abroad. Major symposia include:

  • The Malnati Clinical Sciences Symposium, a two-day conference held annually in October.
  • The Northwestern University/Schweppe Basic Sciences Colloquium, a two- or three-day conference held annually in September.
