Darshika Chhabra, M.D.
Second Year Fellow

Dr. Chhabra graduated from Topiwala National Medical College in India.  She completed a Master of Public Health degree at  the University  of  Massachusetts  at  Amherst.   Her  internship  and  residency  were  at  Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, where she also served as Chief Resident.   

Minna Huang, M.D.
Second Year Fellow

Dr. Huang did her undergraduate, medical school, and residency training at Northwestern University.  Her interest in nephrology developed early in her residency.

Mala Shah, M.D.
Second Year Fellow

After completing her undergraduate work at Texas Christian University and law school at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Shah received her medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and did her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Farheen Shah-Khan, M.D.
First Year Fellow

Dr. Shah-Khan completed her medical training at India's Deccan College of Medical Sciences.  After her Internal Medicine residency at Southern Illinois University, she completed a fellwoship in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at the University of Michigan.

Tushar Sharma, M.D.
First Year Fellow

Dr. Sharma did his undergraduate work in Political Science at Loyola University of Chicago, and then received his M.D. at Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine.  He has returned to Chicago after his residency at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Shaym Uttamchandani, M.D.
First Year Fellow

After completing his undergraduate work at Cornell University, Dr. Uttamchandani received his medical training at the University of Florida College of Medicine.  His Internal Medicine residency brought him to Northwestern University.

Vincent Yang, M.D.
First Year Research Fellow

Dr. Yang is a Chicago native, receiving his undergraduate degree in computer science at the University of Illinois in Champaign.  He attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and did his residency at the University of Chicago.  His research interests focus on cardiovascular disease and its relation to chronic kidney disease.
