**Updated Content Coming Soon ** The Administrative Core, designated as Core A, will be housed in the McGaw building 2nd floor, where the offices of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Division at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine are located. The Core will organize and supervise all the administrative aspects of the Program Project and provide leadership, coordination, and the necessary infrastructure to foster interactions between investigators. The objectives of the administrative core are: 1.To foster exchange of scientific information and ideas 2.To centralize all administrative action and financial recordkeeping 3.To arrange access to state of the art electron and confocal laser scanner microscopes and pathology facilities 4.To provide statistical and data processing support 5.To facilitate the use of common resources 6.To ensure the PPG research meets the highest academic standards through periodic review by the Internal and External Review Committees 7.To prepare scientific and financial reports as required by Northwestern University and NHLBI Coordinated administrative services by Core A will facilitate scientific interactions among the investigators involved in each project and core, as well as ensure optimal purchasing practice. The core will organize bi-weekly research seminars on Mondays, which will allow Program Project Grant investigators to present their "work in progress." This will improve the overall effectiveness of this Program Project Grant and, importantly, ensure synergistic interactions among the researchers from diverse disciplines involved in this PPG. Dr. Sznajder will meet at least bi-weekly with the Administrator and Project coordinator to review the financial aspects of the Program. |
