- Describe the indications for hemodynamic monitoring, inotropic therapy, intraortic balloon pumps, and short-term assist devices.
- Identify appropriate candidates for long-term assist devices and heart transplantation.
- Review the basics of post-operative cardiac management.
- Describe mechanisms and side effects of immunosuppressive agents as well as their clinical applications.
